Hey, world, HEY!
I’ve been in the biggest rut in the new year, which explains my absence on here. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I’m having difficulty keeping up with what’s happening in the world while also blogging about travels. It just all has seemed so inconsequential compared to what’s happening in the world. It feels wrong to talk about traveling, or good things while there are so many bad things happening around us.
But, maybe, it’s needed? Because of the consistent negative space I’ve been in, perhaps, it’s better in the name of self care to take those opportunities to love on the things I’m passionate about a little harder. This way I’m more appreciative of those bright spots when I feel suffocated by darkness.
There’s a lot of things going on with me in terms of work and preparing to move back to the states. I feel so exhausted and annoyed with my work situation, but I’m looking forward to it being over and moving on. I do plan on updating this blog with pictures and stories about things I’ve been doing. Thankfully, even though I’ve been down, I’ve been taking the time to go out and explore things.
How has the new year been for you? I hope your 2017 has been rut-less compared to mine and I hope you’re carving time out of your day or week for yourself!
