Good morning world!

Back from another week full of rain as another typhoon has its fun with Japan. I’m currently trying to save money so I haven’t been doing much in terms of getting out and doing things. I’ve been making goals for my blog and working on a ton of other things.
A few days ago as I was talking with a fellow ALT, I realized that I was sacrificing fun and exploring Japan for the sake of saving money. While I generally like to be practical and do want to save money so that I’m not destitute when I head back to the states, I also want to have a good time. I realized during the holiday weekend how bored I was and how I should use these weekends to really explore Japan more. So for the next holiday weekend, in a few short weeks, I will be flying to Osaka and spending a few days there and in Kyoto.
I’m highly excited! Everything is booked and paid for and I think I’ll really love Kyoto and Osaka. Kyoto is the former capital city of Japan so there is so much history and many temples and old architecture there. Osaka is super laid back and I heard the people are friendly. However, the real reason this trip is even happening is due to one thing – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan! As you can tell from my blog name, I am a fan of Harry Potter. I’ve always wanted to visit at least one Wizarding Wotld attraction and I’ve never been to Universal Studios so once I realized I was moving to Japan, that theme park has been on my radar. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain that day but it doesn’t matter. I’m sure it’ll be great!
No new things
This week has been
whack for me because I didn’t do anything new or different and I definitely didn’t work out as much despite my initial enthusiasm in last week’s post!
Have a laugh
or just feel good
:: What may become one of my favorite museums has just opened in Washington D.C. and I cannot contain my emotions!
Highs + Goals
+ A few highlights from the week include me submitting content to one of my favorite wellness publications and just getting over my fear of rejection and reaching out to people and being consistent. I’m really proud of myself for taking these steps!
+ One goal of mine for next week is to work on budgeting. I want to be sure not to go over the amount I’ve budgeted for this week. The frequent trips to 7/11 really start to add up!
What are some highlights from the past week and a goal you have for this coming week? Let me know in the comments below!
